Welcome to our website and to Waterfront Academy! I hope you find this site helpful in learning more about the school.

 

As you will learn, Waterfront Academy offers a rigorous and robust education for children. The environment and culture at Waterfront Academy is carefully crafted to foster learning through exploration. Through this exploration, we find that the sky's the limit when it comes to each individual child's academic achievements. We often find that our students are one, two, and sometimes three grades ahead of their peers at traditional schools.

 

We are the only school in the United States that offers all three of the following aspects:  adherence to Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy and pedagogy, second language acquisition through immersion, and religious faith.

 

Waterfront Academy was inspired by elements of my own life: faith, family, and desire for a better school option in Washington, DC. It is important to me that children have a robust education, one that sets up the next generation for success in the global economy. With all the advances in technology, our world is getting smaller, and the need to be globally competitive is greater. Additionally, children of this technologically advanced society are going to need to be stronger in their convictions, something that I believe happens through the formation of faith.
